Nevindee Amarasinghe

As technology continues to transform education, communication, and work, cybersecurity has become a critical concern for individuals, businesses, and governments. With cyber threats growing in complexity, raising awareness and equipping young people with the skills to navigate the digital world safely is more important than ever.
To address this need, the ISACA Student Group of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura will host Cyber Summit 2026 on 20th June 2026 at the university premises. The event will bring together students, aspiring IT professionals, and cybersecurity enthusiasts for a day of learning and engagement focused on modern cybersecurity challenges.
The summit aims to educate participants on emerging cyber threats, responsible digital behavior, and information security. Through expert-led sessions and interactive discussions, attendees will gain practical knowledge and industry insights that support their development as responsible digital citizens and future cybersecurity professionals.
Key topics will include cybersecurity best practices, digital responsibility, emerging threats, and the impact of quantum computing on security systems. A live ethical hacking demonstration will provide hands-on exposure to how vulnerabilities are identified and addressed in real-world environments.
In addition, dedicated networking opportunities will connect students with industry professionals, offering valuable career guidance and insights into cybersecurity pathways. By combining knowledge, practical exposure, and professional engagement, Cyber Summit 2026 aims to inspire the next generation of cybersecurity leaders and contribute to a safer, more resilient digital future in Sri Lanka.
