Hands On Canvas XIV
A Sip, Munch & Paint Experience That Redefines Creative Lifestyle Events
Hype Events & Studio, the creative powerhouse founded by visionary event curator Shahareen Sappideen, affectionately known as Shah, together with her daughter Rashmin Sappideen, the Creative Director, recently staged the fourteenth edition of its beloved signature series, Hands On Canvas XIV. The event was a vibrant celebration of creativity, community, and colour, bringing together more than ten inspiring women for an unforgettable afternoon of art, food, and joyful connection.
Hype Studio’s first Sip and Paint Workshop, held in collaboration with Art.by.Sammani, marked the beginning of a vibrant creative journey. True to Shah’s signature philosophy of crafting experiences that nourish both the soul and the senses, the event was anchored in a simple yet powerful ethos: Sip, Munch, Paint, Smile and make memories that last. Guests arrived to a warm, welcoming atmosphere designed to melt away the stresses of everyday life, surrendering to the meditative flow of colour and canvas.
The painting workshop was led by Harini, a passionate and gifted artist whose calming guidance set the perfect tone for the session. The centrepiece concept a breathtaking scene of two dolphins leaping in harmony proved to be as mesmerising as it was therapeutic. Participants found themselves immersed in a tranquil creative journey, each brushstroke a quiet act of self-expression and joy.
More than ten female powerhouses attended the event, each walking away not only with a stunning original painting but also with laughter, new friendships, and a renewed sense of creative confidence. The event was complemented by a thoughtfully curated spread of food and refreshments, elevating the experience into a true lifestyle moment.
“At Hype Events & Studio, we don’t just plan events … we create spaces where people feel free to let go, create freely, and truly connect. Hands On Canvas is about far more than painting; it’s about rediscovering yourself through colour and community.”
Shahareen Sappideen (Shah), Founder, Hype Events & Studio
Hands On Canvas XIV stands as yet another testament to Shah’s rare gift for curating experiences that are equal parts meaningful and magical. With each successive edition, Hype Events & Studio continues to redefine what lifestyle events can be intimate, inclusive, and deeply human.
Looking ahead, Shah is set to host the next edition of Hands On Canvas on May 3, 2026, promising yet another exciting and immersive experience for the community.
