AIESEC in the University of Sri Jayewardenepura is one of the most outstanding local committees under AIESEC in Sri Lanka, having an active membership base of 200+ undergraduates from 6 different faculties.
During this calendar year, we, as an entity with determined individuals, have taken a step towards inspiring the youth and harnessing their professional potential through our latest initiative, SYNDICATE – Challenge Your Perspective.
SYNDICATE is a business case study competition organized by AIESEC in the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, in partnership with the Imperial College of Business Studies (ICBS). Our aim is to provide Youth, an opportunity to develop their innovativeness, problem-solving skills, and knowledge in terms of Business Management, through the analysis of real-world corporate situations.
Since its inception, ICBS had established itself as a leading business school in Sri-lanka with a history dating back to 1985. ICBS is accredited by CIMA (UK) as a premium “Learning Partner Institute” and also as a “Gold Approved Learning Partner” by ACCA. It is affiliated with the University of the West of Scotland (UWS), a Government University in Scotland (UK)
to provide Undergraduate Degrees and Postgraduate Degrees.
ICBS is also affiliated with the Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA). It is the first University Partner in Sri Lanka to offer 13 exam exemptions in CIMA leaving only 3 exams to qualify.
ICBS is known for its home-like learning culture towards creating both professionally and academically qualified individuals and also for its collaborations with AIESEC entities in Sri Lanka, including AIESEC in USJ. SYNDICATE will be an open competition for both Students and Undergraduates, who are interested in jumpstarting their professional careers with an amazing learning experience while competing to stand a chance to win a CASH PRIZE of 50000 LKR and valuable SCHOLARSHIPS from ICBS. Also, the participants will receive a valuable e-certificate. Registrations are now open and candidates can use the registration link to get themselves signed up. 50 teams (including 2-3 members per team) are set to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime experience!
The main highlight for this competition will be the knowledgeable and informative workshops conducted prior to the competition, exclusively for the participants by renowned experts in the business field. Here the contestants will be given a foundation knowledge on areas that could be questioned, how to tackle real-world business issues and how to develop their initial ideas into more suitable, practical, and feasible solutions.
SYNDICATE is not only a competition but also a lifetime learning experience for everyone who is willing to join and unveil their true potential. If you are a young, passionate and solutionoriented individual, this would be the ideal competition for you to challenge and develop yourself.
