Califolink Logistics expands operations by teaming up with CWIT Terminal

Califolink Logistics, a subsidiary of the Ceyline Group, has officially commenced Inter Terminal Trucking (ITT) operations at the Colombo West International Terminal (CWIT), of the Colombo Port, further reinforcing its leadership position as a leading transport solutions provider in Sri Lanka.
Califolink launched its ITT operations at CWIT Terminal with the aim of enhancing container handling efficiency at the Port of Colombo. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in Califolink’s growth journey, expanding its portfolio beyond its renowned expertise in transport services for importers and exporters. Having commenced with an initial fleet of 10 trucks, the company plans to expand the fleet in the future.
Sharing his thoughts on the expansion of operations, Nimal Wijesinghe, General Manager of Califolink Logistics stated, “We at Califolink are extremely thrilled to announce our partnership with Colombo West International Terminal to operate Internal Terminal Transfers (ITT) which we believe would be a bold step towards expanding the product portfolio and business diversity. This marks a significant milestone for us and a testament to our commitment to be a proud stakeholder of Colombo Port’s continuous growth.”
Highlighting the strategic significance of the move, Chathura Lakindu, Managing Director of the Ceyline Group, stated, “The growing business relationship of Ceyline with Colombo West International Terminal spread across providing one of our Barges (Cey-Synergy) to simulate the autonomous gantry cranes of CWIT at the pre-operational stage and providing storage containers, surveying services and now our own fleet for ITT is a testimony of our commitment for a win-win business relationship with our partners. We will continue to work closely with the visionary leadership team of CWIT in creating more winning collaborations to support their journey.”
